It was the year 2015 when our Portuguese dentist started a new life and career in the Netherlands.
Because of the fact that she couldn’t develop herself professionally in Portugal and she lacked quality time with her son, she decided to work and live abroad.
Together with her husband Dário and her son, they travelled to the Academy in Seefeld.
Although she was combining daily her mothership with learning the Dutch language, she managed to reach the required level of Dutch and to prepare herself totally for her new career in Holland.
Nowadays, she lives and works in the area of Rotterdam and enjoys her good work-life balance. Happy and grateful with their life in the Netherlands, Joana became one of our ambassadors.
And her husband Dário? It didn’t take long before Dário became a part of the BGB team. After several years of working as a recruiter, currently, he is part of the Academy team and helping our dentists with their onboarding and everything related to their documents.
Together with our recruiter Arjen, they looked back at their journey to the Netherlands and gave a nice impression of what working and living in the Netherlands looks like.
