I must say, after I first spoke with BGB members, it didn't take me long to decide I wanted to go to the Netherlands. I was always interested in other cultures and lifestyles and because of that, it wasn't so difficult to make a decision. The only thing that stood in my way was learning the Dutch language. I understood that it was neccessary, but for me, that was the only disadvantage of the plan. But after a while, as Dutch people would say - het valt mee (it's not so bad)! Not only was I in love with the language, but spending time in Seefeld, the most beautiful Austrian village in the middle of the Alps, was definitely an experience I could never forget. Everything is easier in good company, especially with the family, and that is exactly what we have become. Doing everything together, laughing, learning, skiing, hiking, having fun and preparing for the next adventure, the time just flew by. The thing that was once the one thing that held me back, soon became the biggest advantage of the journey. If you ask me, I would do it all over again! And once more. 😉

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to the magic team of BGB Academy with helping me get through with my AKV taaltoets. It was not easy at all but they put me at ease with as much comfort and human warmth as possible. Actually they saved my future and made it possible for me to move forward in my career and acquire a chance to stay in the wonderful country of the Netherlands. 

My partner and I moved to the Netherlands with the help of BGB and we are both so happy with how it went. Everything went really smoothly, despite the coronavirus pandemic, and BGB always had a plan A, B and C to solve any problems that came up with covid.

The Dutch teachers were great, and made learning the language in such a short time interesting and fun. 

BGB were so helpful at getting us settled in, and helped us get great jobs in a clinic where we fitted in great. 

Every person we have come into contact with in BGB have been so friendly and helpful. They really have a great bunch of people working together to help dentists with their new lives.

I don't think we could have organised the move on our own, so we are really happy that we found BGB to help us.

I graduated as a dentist in Budapest, Hungary in the summer of 2020. I was planning for a while to move to the Netherlands and to start my career here. Since my partner is Dutch, I could speak the „everyday language”, but my skills needed a boost to reach a professional level. I contacted BGB about the help they could provide me. It was very important to me not only to pass the exam, but to have the confidence in my Dutch to be able to deal with the everyday challenges of the clinical work. The offer I got from BGB was an intensive 2-day private course before the 2 parts of the exam. The course was tailored to my needs, I learned the right amount of theory and practical skills. The teachers were well prepared and flexible, they were very helpful to answer my questions between the course and the exam too. Getting the proper training helped me to not be so nervous about the exam and to easily pass it. During the course and the exam I got to know the people who work at BGB. They were very kind from the first moment on, even on the first day (which is usually a bit awkward) I was integrated and felt like this is not my first time seeing these people. I had a great experience with BGB, I can wholeheartedly recommend them to everyone who wants to start their career in the Netherlands and who wants to face the challenges of learning the language with the help of a great team.

Taking the big step of moving to a new country with a new language and a different culture is
always difficult. Doubts, nerves, insecurity… we all have those feelings. They’re part of our daily
life. But when we make a decision it’s always good to have people by your side who help you,
and that makes you feel that you are doing the right thing. BGB, in addition to giving you the
opportunity to work and feel you valued as a dentist, is always there by your side. I’m happy to
consider myself part of BGB team and for the experience that I never thought I would have
dared to have without them.

When writing about my experience with BGB, I worried if I would be able to say so much in a few sentences. I also think I will have to use some Dutch words!

Approximately 2 years went by since I made the decision that I wanted to continue building a career abroad, and signing a contract with BGB. For 2 years I communicated with people from BGB, got to know them well, gained full trust in them and wrapped up all my jobs, obligations and plans in my home country, survived a few months of living in the Corona crisis, postponed my departure and then reactivated it
.
And here I am. I have been living and working in the Netherlands for 2 months now. When I look behind me and remember mid-October 2020, when I started online Dutch classes, I didn't know how to say anything in Dutch. And now, 6 months later, when I speak and write and think in Dutch, I can say that everything is possible due to BGB and their indescribable organization and my dedicated work, determination and a great desire to work in the Netherlands.

And all the way from online classes, to the Seefeld trip in the middle of Corona travel ban, classes with Dutch teachers, all day environment of Dutch language and culture but in stark contrast to nature, in the hilly Tyrolean Alps, total Tyrol lockdown in February, inability to communicate in person with the owners of dental clinics, BIG exam, the uncertainty of the trip from Seefeld to the Netherlands, everything, absolutely everything, went smoothly, really smoothly, cheerfully and with a lot of laughter and unforgettable memories.

If I had set out on this adventure earlier, I would not have had the privilege of hanging out with more than 10 extraordinary and dear people every day, hiking and skiing on weekends for 10 weeks while all Tyrol travel is delayed, when not going on winter hollidays because borders are closed. I just then enjoyed it to the fullest, studied, had fun, progressed and finally got to where I had long imagined myself to be.

Finally, I would like to summarize my BGB experience in 5 words, Dutch words:
Leuk, gezellig, genieten, lekker, fantastisch.
